Everyday Habits

What we buy on day to day basis plays an important role in how we are treating our planet. If you want to improve your travel habits, then you must improve on how you shop at home. Remember your home, your town, your city is also part of this beautiful planet.

On this page you will find all the products I found helpful and are eco friendly. Most of the companies I choose are Climate  Pledge Friendly.

Electric Bikes

Electric bikes have changed the game. Are you still afraid of those impossible-to-climb city slopes? You should check the electric bikes. They assist you on those problematic slopes where you hate to peddle, and at not-so-crazy pitches, you can peddle as usual where you can. You do not need to worry about going super fast, uncontrollably - they do come with breaks people!!!

It would be best if you did a little research on classes of electric bikes. There are 3 Classes. 1, 2, and 3. I like to classify them as class normal (1,3) & class not so normal (2). Class 2 is actually like a moped. Class 3 specs are not your average peddle bike, and most cities have more restrictions on class 2. My recommendation is Class 3. Classes 1 & 3 are the same except for the speed caps. Class 1 cuts off peddle assist at 20 miles an hour, and Class 3 cuts of peddle assist at 28 miles an hour. If you want to go faster, do your peddling. And NO, that is not the bike's max speed. All it means is you are going too fast already, and you do not need help from the battery; save it for slopes when you wouldn't be going so fast.

Many cities have electric bikes for rental. The best way to save the environment is to use them over taxi rides for short distances. Yes, you will have to download various city apps. I have a separate temporary travel app grouping on my phone where I download these apps and then delete them when I leave. Some cities are getting better at using QR codes to accept payments, so always have your Apple/Google pay handy.
